| About Us Hugh Gooding Funeral Services is an independently owned, family run business. The company was established in May 2007 and we are located less than 2.5 miles from Leeds City Centre. Our central location enables us to offer professional assistance with consistently high standards, to bereaved families throughout Leeds, West Yorkshire and beyond.
Our fully equipped, contemporary premises are situated in the midst of a thriving and diverse community. We feel privileged to serve such a wide and varied population and this is reflected in the provision our team and premises provides.

Hugh The death of his own parents inspired Hugh to become a Funeral Director so that he could serve and assist others during their own time of need.
Hugh is a local lad and has lived in Leeds for over fifty years, having moved to Yorkshire as an infant. His knowledge of Leeds and the surrounding area is unparalleled and he is known and well respected throughout the region.
A fully qualified Funeral Director, Hugh spent nine and a half years in training with both the Co-operative Group and Dignity. He is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
 Hugh has a passion for providing exceptional service and is happy to help with any queries or concerns you may have. Premises Hugh Gooding Funeral Services is conveniently located on the corner of Chapeltown Road and Newton Road. A former GP practice, the building was fully refurbished in 2007 and is now a bright, contemporary funeral home with a warm traditional feel. We have a chapel of rest, a large, modern mortuary and a room for those deceased who require care and attention in line with their own religious beliefs and practices. Our premises provide full disabled access and facilities. Parking There is free on-street parking within close proximity of our funeral home on Newton Road. Fleet Hugh Gooding Funeral Service has it's very own fleet of modern, black Saab hearses and limousines. We can also provide you with a variety of transport modes to suit the needs of both you and your loved ones. Please call or email us for further details. Bespoke Funerals Every one of our funerals is a bespoke funeral - each specifically tailored to the needs of our valued customers. Our aim is to provide your loved one with the dignified funeral service they would want. We can cater to most requirements; from grand and unique "New Orleans" style funerals (including Horse Drawn Carriage and marching Jazz Band), to simple, dignified private services. We can even arrange worldwide repatriations. We are happy to tailor a funeral service to reflect the personality of the deceased and designed to suit your own budget.
Additional optional services include a choir, reception venue booking and preferential rates with a specialist catering service.
